Become a model in Essen
Becoming a model in Essen starts at ROW ONE with four photos and your measurements. The application takes five minutes, application and admission are free, and we answer every application. Castings take place by video call, in our rooms in Frankfurt or at the production site; jobs come up in Essen, in the region and across Europe.

Models from Essen work in the city, in Gelsenkirchen, Bottrop and Mülheim and, for campaigns and shows, in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. Travel costs to productions are paid by the client, never by you.

Frequently asked
01Do I need experience to apply from Essen?
No. Most of our models started without experience. What matters is natural photos, honest measurements and time for castings and jobs.
02Does the application cost anything?
Nothing. We never charge for comp cards, photos or courses; if someone does, it is not us.
03How tall do I need to be?
Guide values: women 172 to 181 cm, men 184 to 192 cm for fashion. For commercial and e-commerce we book outside these ranges as well.
04Do I have to come to Frankfurt?
Only if it suits you. From Essen the interview happens online, polaroids follow our guide, castings take place where the jobs are.
05From what age can I apply?
From 18 directly. Between 16 and 17 with your parents' consent; we contact them before the first casting.
06What does a model earn?
Fees are agreed per job and paid after the production. We negotiate the rate, you see the figures before you accept.
07What happens at the first casting?
A conversation, polaroids, measurements, a short walk. It takes about an hour, by video or in person.
08Do I have to be exclusive with ROW ONE?
No. Exclusivity is an option we discuss once you have worked with us; it is never a condition for admission.
